Coach Carroll. Tennis Coach.

Cory practicing his tennis and tennis coaching at the resort. I'd play with him but I'm not quite up to par yet. Working on it; not quite as athletic as the next guy, so it takes me more practice. But, I'm getting there thanks to my mom's new ball launcher. We love tennis!

Loving Vacation

Enjoying great views on our bike ride to Seaside! Enjoying lunch at Stinky's with the family before an afternoon of tennis.

Gelato in Seaside

Enjoying gelato with the ladies. Maisy looks like a Gap ad.

Biking Family Style

Having a great time in Florida with the family! Made an ice cream pitstop during our bike ride, played tennis, finished up with yummy family dinner and dessert, and now a movie if we can muster the energy. Yay for vacation!

Florida Bound

Today we learned that the Mississippi flag has the Confederate flag in it...sketchy. And scored $2.89 gas. We love the twos. Cory says he did not almost hit that car as we dramatically turned into the parking lot.

Delaney's Hero

Today is our third anniversary. Hard to believe it's actually been three years, yet hard to believe it's only been three years. I'm excited, but five years sounds so more legit...and then ten, fifteen, twenty. But! We are very thrilled with our successful three.

I am so happy being married to Cory; I consider our marriage one of my greatest successes and a very rewarding investment. We have really gotten to know each other in the last three years and we are at a point where we are absolutely comfortable with each other and have a fabulous time. He's my number one, and my best friend. I'm biased, but I think he is pretty wonderful. I still choose him.

But, what did we do for our anniversary??? Well...Cory dominated the planning this year and he has thoroughly spoiled me with a week of celebrating. He likes to call himself "Delaney's Hero," it's a bit of a joke around our house because he's the only one that calls himself that. But, this week, he lived up to the title. Here's the rundown:

Day One: I came home from being in Austin while he was gone for High Adventure. I arrived to a note and a rose taped to the door. Inside,  I walked in to him waiting/hiding out in the kitchen for me. He had decorated the house with candles, had music playing, and had take out from my favorite restaurant (Chuy's) waiting for me. Sparkling lemonade was chilled and waiting, with strawberries, Nutella, and whipped cream for dessert. We had a very romantic evening in the little oasis he had set up. He told me to keep an eye out for roses this week, because he had something planned for every day!

Day Two: Was a Sunday, so he put a rose with some of my favorite treats and a nice note in my car. He knows that I am obsessed with Australian Red Licorice. It is so soft and chewy and wonderful and I have tried out the different varieties from several stores and the one from Sprouts is. the. best. He bought me two pounds, along with cream soda...one of my favorite sodas. Be jealous.

Day Three: Woke up to a rose and a note waiting for me telling me to go buy a brand new outfit that I felt beautiful in for our hot date the next night.

Day Four: We went out for fondue at the Melting Pot, stuffed ourselves, and had a great time.

Day Five: Well, that is today, and our actual anniversary. But, Cory has Mutual and I had Activity Days, so we are keeping the actual day low key. But, he still wrote me a note, left a rose, bought me another one of my favorite treats, a pretzel from Auntie Anne's, and gave me another shopping mission.

Day Six: ??? Cory has something mysterious planned and I'm not sure exactly what but he seems excited!

All in all, Cory has outdone himself. Yes, the roses are starting to look a little haggard near the end of the week because I'm not sure where he has been hiding his little stockpile, and I'm wondering if it's in the car...but it has been really fun going along with his plans. I'm so grateful for him and excited for forever more anniversaries. We leave for Florida this weekend, and we are both ready for some fun in the sun. I love summer when Cory has more free time. He has had lame sauce training all day every day so far this week, so I am looking forward to that being over. Happy Summer!
